Fairfax, VA – Within 48 hours of launching his campaign for Congress, Fairfax County Supervisor James Walkinshaw raised more than $300,000, and racked up more than 400 11th District grassroots donors — a clear signal of early strength and deep community enthusiasm for his candidacy.
“I’m incredibly grateful — and honestly humbled — by the outpouring of support we saw in just the first two days of this campaign,” said Walkinshaw. “The numbers tell a powerful story — the story of hundreds of people who believe in the promise of our democracy and want to send a candidate to Washington who’s ready to take on Trump’s dangerous agenda and deliver for Fairfax. But this is just the beginning. I’ll continue waking up every day committed to earning every vote.”
The campaign’s early fundraising haul builds on key endorsements, including from Congressman Gerry Connolly (VA-11) and former Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (VA-10), as well as Virginia Delegates David Bulova (D-11), Briana Sewell (D-25), and Rip Sullivan (D-6).
Additional endorsements are expected to be announced in the coming days.
