Fairfax, VA – Today, Fairfax Sheriff Stacey Kincaid—a law enforcement veteran with nearly four decades of experience and the first woman elected to lead the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office—endorsed Fairfax Supervisor James Walkinshaw for Congress in Virginia’s 11th District.
As a nationally-respected law enforcement leader, Sheriff Kincaid’s support underscores the trust and confidence that experienced, results-driven leaders are placing in Walkinshaw’s candidacy.
“With 39 years of experience in law enforcement and as the first woman to lead Fairfax County’s Sheriff’s Office, I know the value of proven leadership,” said Sheriff Kincaid. “That’s why I’m proud to endorse Supervisor James Walkinshaw for Congress. His experience on Capitol Hill and the Board of Supervisors makes him ready to lead on day one. He’s fought for stronger gun safety laws and supported our programs that expand education and life skills for those incarcerated. I hope all Fairfax residents will join me in supporting him.”
Walkinshaw thanked Sheriff Kincaid for her endorsement and reflected on their work together:
“Sheriff Kincaid is a trailblazing leader recognized nationally for her leadership on implementing diversion and addiction treatment programs,” said Walkinshaw. “I’m honored to have her support and look forward to continuing our partnership to keep Fairfax safe and make our criminal justice system more effective and more compassionate.”
Sheriff Kincaid’s endorsement adds to the growing coalition of local, state, and federal leaders backing Walkinshaw’s campaign. From Fairfax City Hall to Richmond to Capitol Hill, they’re united behind a candidate ready to take on Trump’s dangerous agenda and deliver for Fairfax on day one.
